Salesforce integration with Askfield lets you capture new leads, trigger personalized surveys to customers whenever an event occurs, and map those responses back to the Salesforce fields.

Trigger surveys when an event happens in Salesforce

 

Enable the toggle at the top right corner to trigger the survey when an event happens in Salesforce. Choose the Event Object and Action to set actions for which the survey has to be invoked. Add survey conditions to have complete control of the respondents. Enter the email ID or choose the email share channel to share the survey.

Map Survey responses to Salesforce fields & generate new leads

 

Select +New Mapping to map the survey responses back to the Salesforce fields. Select the mapping type, choose the respective Salesforce object, and make sure you fill all the conditions to map your Salesforce fields’ responses.

Import Salesforce contacts to Askfield Audience

From the survey dashboard, select Contacts. Select Imports and then Start a new import. From the pop-up list, Select Salesforce. Once you’ve mapped the contact properties, click next to name & finish the import.

Webhooks

A webhook in web development is a method of augmenting or altering the behavior of a web page, or web application, with custom callbacks.
  1. Step 1: Sign in to a Developer Account and select New app. Choose an App name, Workspace and select Internal Integration if your app is used internally.
  2. Step 2: Configure the access token and OAuth, and select a permission level.
  3. Step 3: Choose a canvas kit and configure app capabilities(In this case, Place on Messenger Home screen). Enter the Webhook URL and Save.
  4. Step 4: Save and test the App.

Zapier is an online automation tool that connects your apps and services. You can connect two or more apps to automate repetitive tasks without coding or relying on developers to build the integration.
Trigger – New Survey Submission
  1. Step 1: Choose App and Event – Intercom and New Closed Conversation
  2. Step 2: Choose Account – Sign in to your Intercom account
  3. Step 3: Customize Deal
  4. Step 4: Find Data – Choose sample data to send
  5. Step 5: Test the connection
Action – Add/ Update Subscriber in Mailchimp
  1. Step 1: Choose App and Event – Askfield and select a survey to send
  2. Step 2: Choose Account – Sign in to your Askfield Account
  3. Step 3: Customize Share Survey
  4. Step 4: Select a survey from the list
  5. Step 5: Select a share option (In this case, Email Share)
  6. Step 6: Select a recipient email ID
  7. Step 7: Pass a custom variable(Example: contactid)(Optional)
  8. Step 8: Test the connection
